Editorial Policy

Last updated:

MyITINCredit.com is an educational website operated by Simply Approved Corporation. This policy explains, in plain language, how our content gets made: who writes it, what sources we rely on, how we check facts, and how often we revisit older pages to keep them accurate. We publish it so readers — and the search and AI systems that surface our pages — can evaluate our credibility for themselves.

Who writes our content

Articles, guides, and tool pages on MyITINCredit are produced by the MyITINCredit editorial team, a working group within Simply Approved Corporation responsible for research, writing, and maintenance of the site's educational content. We do not attribute pages to invented "expert" personas or stock-photo authors. Where a page states a byline, it identifies this organizational team rather than an individual, because that is the truthful description of how the content is currently produced. If a specific, verifiable named contributor (for example, a licensed credit counselor or compliance professional) is added to our process in the future, we will name that person, disclose their real credentials, and link to a genuine bio — never a fabricated one.

What we cover, and what we don't

Our focus is consumer credit education for people building credit with an ITIN or an SSN: how credit reports and scores work, how ITIN holders can access credit-building tools, how credit monitoring services work, and how to compare offers. We are not a law firm, a certified financial planning practice, or a substitute for individualized professional advice. Pages that touch tax, immigration, or legal topics (such as ITIN eligibility) are written as general education and link back to the primary government source — the IRS, CFPB, or FTC — for authoritative, individualized guidance.

Our research and sourcing process

Review and update cadence

Every page displays a visible "Last updated" date and carries a machine-readable modified date in its page metadata. High-impact pages — pricing, eligibility, and anything describing the $1-for-15-days trial and $24.95/month billing — are checked at least monthly for accuracy, and sooner if we're notified of a change by our partner or a reader. Evergreen educational explainers (how credit scores work, what a good score is, etc.) are reviewed on a rolling basis and updated whenever the underlying guidance from a bureau or regulator changes. See our review process page for the specific checklist we use.

Editorial independence and monetization

MyITINCredit earns affiliate commissions when readers enroll with partners we link to, primarily MyFreeScoreNow. That relationship is disclosed on every relevant page and explained in full on our How We Make Money page. Commission arrangements do not change what a reader pays, and they do not change the facts we publish about pricing, eligibility, or how a product works. If a claim would only be true because it benefits us commercially, we don't publish it.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes — dates go stale, providers change terms, or we simply make a mistake. If you spot an error, please tell us. Our full process, including how to request a correction and what happens after you do, is on the corrections policy page. You can reach the editorial team directly at support@myitincredit.com.

Accessibility of this policy

This page, like the rest of the site, is meant to be read by humans first. We keep it free of jargon, and we keep it current: whenever our process meaningfully changes, we update this page the same day, not on a delayed schedule.
