How We Make Money
MyITINCredit.com is an independent, educational website operated by Simply Approved Corporation. It is separate from, and not owned by, the companies whose products it discusses. This page explains plainly how the site is funded, what incentives that creates, and the specific limits we put on those incentives so they don't distort what we tell you.
The short version
- We don't charge readers to use MyITINCredit.com.
- We earn a commission when a reader clicks through from our site and enrolls with a partner, primarily MyFreeScoreNow.
- MyITINCredit is not MyFreeScoreNow. We do not operate the credit monitoring service, hold your account, process your billing, or have access to your credit monitoring dashboard. MyFreeScoreNow does.
- The commission we earn does not change the price you pay. Whether or not you came from our site, MyFreeScoreNow charges the same enrollment terms.
What MyITINCredit actually is
MyITINCredit is a content and comparison website. We publish explainers about credit scores, ITIN-based credit building, and consumer credit rights, and we link readers to third-party products — mainly MyFreeScoreNow's 3-bureau credit monitoring service — that we believe are relevant to people building credit with an ITIN or an SSN. We are compensated by some of those third parties when a reader takes an action, such as enrolling in a trial.
What MyFreeScoreNow actually is
MyFreeScoreNow is a separate company that provides the credit monitoring product itself: 3-bureau credit report access (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and daily VantageScore 4.0 monitoring. When you enroll through a link on MyITINCredit, your account, your billing relationship, your login, and your data are with MyFreeScoreNow, not with MyITINCredit. If you have a billing question, want to cancel, or need customer support for the monitoring product itself, you'll need to contact MyFreeScoreNow directly — MyITINCredit cannot access or change your MyFreeScoreNow account.
Pricing: who sets it, and whether our commission affects it
As of this page's last review, MyFreeScoreNow's introductory offer referenced across our site is $1 for the first 15 days, then $24.95 per month until canceled. That price is set entirely by MyFreeScoreNow, not by MyITINCredit. We do not mark it up, and we do not receive a larger commission by directing you toward a higher price — the price is identical whether you enroll through our link or find MyFreeScoreNow independently. Our commission comes out of MyFreeScoreNow's marketing budget, not out of an add-on charged to you. If pricing changes, we update every page that references it as part of our standing monthly review; see our review process.
Other partners
Beyond MyFreeScoreNow, we occasionally link to other financial products — personal loan marketplaces, credit-builder cards, or credit card comparison offers — that may also pay us a commission if a reader engages with them. The same rule applies: our compensation does not change your terms with those partners, and we do not control or influence the terms those partners offer.
How this affects what we write
We disclose the affiliate relationship on every page that links to a partner, using a visible disclosure banner near the first call to action. Our editorial policy describes the research and sourcing standard we hold ourselves to regardless of any partner relationship: claims about pricing, eligibility, and how a product works are checked against the partner's own published terms and against government sources like the IRS, CFPB, and FTC — not written to make an offer look better than it is.
We do not accept payment in exchange for a more favorable review, we do not remove accurate but unflattering information at a partner's request, and a partner does not get to edit our copy. If you believe a page understates a drawback of a partner's product, please tell us using our corrections policy.
Full legal disclosures
This page is a plain-language explanation. Our formal, FTC-oriented disclosure language — the kind that also appears in small print across the site — lives on our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosures page. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy cover the rest of the legal detail.
